Progesterone Blood Testing

Progesterone Blood Testing is the most accurate way of determining the day of ovulation in a bitch. This has many advantages:

• In artificial insemination
• If an accurate whelping date (to within a day)  is required
• For less fertile bitches or stud dogs to ensure an optimum time for conception
• For when only one mating is possible to ensure optimum timing

Tweed House is proud to offer a same day progesterone blood result service. We usually have the results back and interpreted by lunch time on the same day that we receive the blood sample. We can run samples posted to us, or for an even speedier service we can take the blood at our surgery and get the results a few hours later on the same day. We will then telephone you with advice on timings etc.
