Tweed House was established in 1983 by Gil Averis. Originally the surgery occupied only a small part of her house but as it has grown Gil had to move out and the surgery invaded the whole building, with the upstairs providing accommodation for the nurses who live in and provide 24-hour nursing care.
In 1999 we acquired the house next door and extensive alterations were carried out to provide excellent facilities for the patients and our Veterinary staff.
Tweed House has a branch surgery at Pudsey. This began as a small satellite surgery in 1991 and has expanded into a busy surgery backed by our full hospitalisation and surgery facilities based in Yeadon.
All our client and clinical records are computerised, which allows us to access patients histories from either surgery, ensuring the best possible continuity of care.
